Dr Konstantinos G. Gkonis is currently employed with Barry Rogliano Salles Shipbrokers in Paris, France.



He began his career in energy and soon after turned to shipping. He introduced the term Energy Shipping to describe the intersection of these two fields, and especially the so-called wet trades (the maritime transportation of natural gas, crude oil, oil products etc.), but also the shore-based (mainly pipeline) alternatives.

His Ph.D. thesis is the first in Greece on the topic of the maritime transportation of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas). He has produced a number of studies on this and other energy shipping subjects. He has dealt with a range of strategic and operational questions regarding:
